Jayvan Boggs: A Quarterbacks Best Friend

The 2025 class is full of elite receiving talents across the nation. For this reason many pass catchers struggle to stand out amongst their peers. However, in the case of Cocoa High School receiver Jayvan Boggs standing out seems to come naturally. The elite pass catcher was dominant during his junior campaign, totaling 1493 yards and 23 touchdowns en route to a 14-1 record and a state championship. Boggs proved that he is one of the best receivers in the nation and as next season approaches opposing teams will need to begin game planning for one of the country’s premier receiving threats.
When asked about his favorite memory from his explosive junior year, Boggs simply answered “winning state”. The ultimate goal of any football team is to earn a championship and this season Cocoa High School proved that with Boggs running routes & catching passes, bringing home some championship hardware is always a possibility. The stats speak for themselves but when asked what sets him apart Jayvan was quick to respond: “my size and feel for the game, my football IQ.” Jayvan’s answer couldn’t have been more spot on. The pass catcher has an excellent frame that should translate well at the next level and his feel for the game allows him to be constantly open as he attacks defenders’ blindspots and finds soft spots against zone coverage. Along with dominating the mental side of the game, Boggs maintains strong hands and great route running, making him an all around receiving threat.
Boggs has yet to choose his home for his collegiate career but it feels like every premier program in the nation wants Boggs out wide for them. Boggs was formerly an Ohio State commit but following the reopening of his recruitment the Cocoa Tiger has taken official visits to UCF, Georgia, USC, and Missouri. Each of these programs has produced some elite pass catchers and whether it be at one of these schools or another institution Boggs will be an instant contributor for his new school. However, Boggs has goals that extend far beyond the collegiate circuit.
When asked what his biggest goal was, Boggs replied “To keep getting better, and getting to the NFL”. The offensive weapon is determined to improve his game and with his degree of dedication to the sport, there is no limit to what Jayvan can do moving forward. As he enters his senior season, all eyes will be on him to show out and further cement himself as one of the most talented players on any field he steps on.
Jayvan Boggs and the Cocoa Tigers offense will continue to be a dominant force next season, bringing in a slew of transfers to play alongside their stellar receiver. Boggs is only getting better and in a few short years he has the potential to be one of the best receivers in the country. Jayvan certainly has a lot to be excited for in his football future.
