- Cocoa
The back-to-back 2S state champions begin the 2024 season as the #1 team in Central Florida as they embark on the third consecutive State title. The area’s most prolific duo returns for one final season as recent 4-star UCF commit Jayvan Boggs and 4-star Michigan commit Brady Hart look to cement themselves forever in the Orlando region. Brady is a top 10 QB in the 2026 cycle who gets one final season throwing the ball to Boggs, who was 2023’s Mr. Florida. The tigers offense features Junior running back Latrison Lane who rushed for over a thousand yards as a sophomore, and former Florida State commit DL Hardison has transferred in from Eau Gallie to compliment Boggs along with 2025 slot receiver Nicolas Teeter. The Tigers are a top 15 team in MaxPreps national rankings and will look to pick back up right where they left off last fall in Tallahassee.
- Jones
After a slow 1-3 start in 2023, the JHigh Tigers got hot reeling off 9 straight wins on their way to a final four appearance where they fell just short to Homestead 42-35. The Tigers reloaded and refocused this spring and are poised to be one of the top teams not only in Orlando but all of Florida. The area’s second most prolific duo returns with 2026 Miami Commit Dereon Coleman looking to connect with 5-star Florida commit Vernell Brown all season but Jones also picked up 2026 wide receiver Larry Miles from West Orange, who has had one of the biggest stock jumps in the area according over a dozen offers since his sophomore season. Jones will once again face a tough schedule to prepare them for another deep playoff push, and they begin their season on Saturday at Camping World Stadium to face our number 3 team in the power rankings
- Seminole
The Noles once again remain towards the top of the pool of central Florida teams and will be another team that reloaded in the spring with a bevy of highly touted transfers. The offense will be led by 4-star 2026 Quarterback Michael Clayton who had a strong sophomore campaign with Edgewater last fall and will be looking to lead Seminole on another late-season push. The offense also features 2026 slot receiver Anthony Gay, 2025 runningback Khamni Robinson who is fresh off a state championship at Mainland, 2025 receiver Devin Voltaire who burst onto the scene during the 7on7 season, and a handful of other impactful transfers set to round out a roster who is always populated with loads of Division One talent. On the defensive side of the ball they are led by Mike linebacker Ethan Pritchard who is committed to Florida State, and App State commit Juan Berchal is entering his 4th year holding down the back end in the secondary. Seminole lost a heartbreaker to Mandarin in the 4M regional final last fall and will be looking to return to the state championship game for the first time since 2020.
- Edgewater
The Eagles are once again set up to be one of the most dangerous teams in Orlando following a second consecutive undefeated regular season where they fell in the second round against a red-hot Jones team in 2023. Edgewater is another school that has benefited from a multitude of talented transfers, with the offense acquiring 2025 Miami commit Jaden Wilkerson who will protect Lake Nona transfer Emmanuel Carter’s blindside. The Eagles should be one of the area’s leading rushing teams behind a strong and veteran offensive line, featuring a plethora of players who bring tremendous value in the run game. Boston College commit Semaj Fleming is the Eagle’s Konami code and can do virtually anything for the offense, and transfers Josh Perry and Juju Prime will hold down the backfield of one of Orlando’s most physically dominant teams year in and year out.
5 Osceola
The Kowboys bring back a talented roster that will look to get off to a good start this season compared to a brutal beginning of the 2023 campaign. Osceola’s star senior Taevion Swint is due for a monster season that could see him lead the area in rushing comfortably if all goes to plan in Kissimmee. The Kowboys put the area back on notice in April after a very impressive performance against Edgewater and Deland in the spring game. A physical and experienced offensive line should provide massive gaps for the swift and decisive Swint to burst through for big play after big play this fall. The Kowboys also bring back a defense littered with division one talent headlined by Miami commit Elijah Melendez who is one of the best MLB’s in the country. FAU commit Robert Lee joins him in the linebacker room that will try and outshine a loaded DB group as well. 2026 corner Ja’Kyri Watson has put together a strong spring season where his name always buzzed as a top performer for whatever camp he was at. Safety Jeff Banks is another player with next-level interest who’s been making noise in the spring as well. Osceola is no stronger to big games and their schedule is once again filled with must-see matchups this fall.
- Lake Mary
Perhaps the area’s biggest name will be back for his junior year at Lake Mary and Noah Grubbs has records and championships in his sights this season. After a historic sophomore campaign that saw him toss 49 touchdowns, breaking a Lake Mary single-season record. The Rams will once again be one of the more prolific offenses in 2024 and Noah will be looking to be even better. They’ll look to reload the receiver room but there is very little doubt about the passing offense being one of the most productive units in the area again. Lake Mary also features one of the more slept-on backs in Orlando in 2025 Isiah Thomas who had a strong junior campaign rushing for over one thousand yards and 12 total touchdowns.
- Winter Park
The Wildcats once again bring back a strong defense and a veteran offense featuring now 2 solid players in the room. Senior Grant Conner will take over the starting role and has had a good spring playing for Gridiron Elite. Perhaps one of the bigger transfers of the entire off-season has boosted Winter Parks QB room to potentially the most well-rounded in the area after 2027 gunslinger Will Jackson transferred in. 2026 safety and all-around playmaker Ayden Pouncey also returns and is looking to build off a fantastic spring season where he’s accumulated countless high-profile offers and was the key player on SFE’s OT7 national championship-winning defense, sealing the title with a pick-six on the last drive of the tournament. Winter Park has a well-rounded and veteran team at this point and should have a fairly high seed when the postseason arrives.
- University Orange City
The Titans of Orange City are coming off their most successful season in school history and are hungry for more. University made the playoffs after a school-best 9-1 regular season but couldn’t get over the hump of their crosstown rival Deland. The Titans return practically their entire team headlined by one of the best duos in the area, Malachi Walters and Jermane Hayes, who were spectacular last season. Hayes plays the role of their number 1 receiver while headlining a strong defensive back room featuring studs like Jay’R Cook and Devin Karson who are versatile and big defenders that can cover a ton of ground. University should be favored to win the district this year and will look to send out its historic 2025 class out the right way with some championships to its already school-changing legacy.
- Bishop Moore
The Hornets will look to build off of what was one of the most electric and fun-to-watch runs the area saw all of 2023 and bring back a ton of pieces from the red-hot playoff team that was a couple of games away from a state title appearance. Virginia commit Bjorn Jurgerson returns and will look to be one of the area’s most prolific passers in the fall and will look to hook up with 3-star receiver Kenyon Alston who holds offers from FSU, Penn State, Arkansas, and more. Bishop Moore always plays terrific defense and 2026 corner Trenton Gummer is another name soaring up boards this spring. He led the team in interceptions last year and has a true nose for the ball that routinely makes game-changing plays to get the offense back on the field. Bishop Moore will once again be one of the best private schools in Central Florida as they look to make a push to the 3A title game.
- TFA
The Royals finished 6-4 last season and will look to compound that momentum with a group of high-profile transfers from around the area. Guys like 4 star 2026 UF commit Devin Jackson, 2025 running back Dane Thompson who led the area in rushing at Lake Minneola last season, 2 high profile offensive linemen transfer Chance Barclay & Noah Devine all will play their football for the Royals this fall in addition to many others. The influx of talent has boosted expectations for the 2034 campaign and after a strong spring and pre-season, TFA looks like to be a physically dominant and imposing group in the Orlando area this season. They will possess the area’s top offensive line on paper, and at least 3 different players with division-one interest can go for over a hundred yards any given night for TFA. 2025 Quarterback Salomon Georges will lead the offense and is a name that’s been heating up all summer with interest and hype. With players like Demetrice McCray, Jaelyn Powell & more, the playmakers TFA has at its disposal in this season will provide plenty of high-flying offense all year long.
